II° CIRCUITO DI MILANO
SEMPIONE PARK - Milano (I), 20 JUNE MCMXXXVII
70 laps x 2.57 km = 179.9 km, 11 starters.

There could hardly have been any race track that suited worse for the high speed Auto Union cars than the twisty little Milan circuit in the Sempione Park with its two tight hairpins. Varzi had had a humiliating defeat there in 1936 but for some reason Auto Union still decided to enter Hasse for the 1937 race. The results were expected, with a double victory for Scuderia Ferrari with Rüesch's private Alfa third. Hasse finished in fourth place a lap behind Nuvolari. Trossi and Minozzi (both in Alfas) finished fifth and sixth.

Starting Grid:

62 Trossi      58 Rüesch      88 Nuvolari
Alfa Romeo     Alfa Romeo     Alfa Romeo

 86 Minozzi     78 Farina      82 Hasse
